Pairings

Cheese pairings:

Our delicious Chardonnay pairs well with not only bolder cheeses like bleu cheese, English hard cheddar, or Camembert but also alpine-style cheeses, asiago, baby swiss, brick, butterkäse, and parmesan.

Meat pairings:

A number of foods pair well with our Chardonnay:

  • Mild and creamy cheeses, including Brie, triple cream and Monterey Jack
  • Pasta with pesto or cheese-based sauces or buttery or brown butter sauces
  • White fish (halibut, cod) and shellfish (lobster, shrimp, crab, scallops.)
  • Chicken or fish in creamy or butter-based sauces
  • Subtly flavored, simply seasoned poultry and pork dishes.
  • Vegetable dishes with bright, fresh flavors
  • Dishes that have a silky texture, such as risottos and cream-enhanced soups, sauces and pastas

Cheese pairings:

The rich red Malbec pairs well with semi-hard cheeses such as Asiago, cheddar, Colby, and gouda.

Meat pairings:

Pairing food with Malbec is quite simple. The wine has a fuller body, it's a great match for stronger-flavored and richer foods. Avoid pairing it with delicate or subtle flavors, which will lead to the wine completely overwhelming the dish. This Malbec is a great match for steak, pork, and lamb, as well as fattier fish like salmon and poultry with dark meat, bison, ostrich, and venison. In addition, consider foods with richer sauces or more vibrant flavors. Avoid bitter vegetables or vinegar dressings and always consider foods with richer sauces or more vibrant flavors to accompany this wine.
